Your Role

Video Editor & Colorist

Video Editor & Colorist

At Ewheron we build Shopify stores and produce video content for DTC brands and our own channels (@carlosrodillaa). We're looking for a Video Editor and Colorist with a strong eye for pacing and an ear for sound design. Your work will turn raw, flat footage into finished long-form YouTube videos and the short-form cuts pulled from them, carrying the tone of the brand through every frame.

We want someone who understands pacing before polish, who can grade log footage without needing a full-time colorist's rate, and who enjoys the process of turning a rough cut into something that holds attention for twenty minutes straight. If you'd rather nail the fundamentals than chase trend effects, this role is for you.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience editing long-form talking-head or educational YouTube content

  • Comfortable cutting shorts and reels from long-form footage

  • Working knowledge of sound design and audio cleanup

  • Proficient in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro

  • Understands pacing: what to cut, what to keep, and why

  • Proactive, able to work async without close supervision

  • Organized and consistent with delivery deadlines

  • Capable of communicating blockers clearly and early

  • Comfortable working in English daily, Spanish is a plus

Color grading log footage

Color grading log footage

We shoot flat, in S-Log3, specifically so the final look gets built in the grade. You'll take that footage and bring it to a consistent, finished look across every long-form video and short.

Editing and pacing for long-form

Editing and pacing for long-form

You'll cut 20-minute talking-head and vlog-style videos with retention in mind: knowing what to trim, what to keep, and where the video sags before the viewer feels it.

Sound design and audio cleanup

Sound design and audio cleanup

You'll clean dialogue, level audio, and build simple sound design that supports the edit rather than announces itself.

Cutting shorts and reels from long-form

Cutting shorts and reels from long-form

Most of our short-form output comes directly from the long-form videos. You'll identify and re-cut the moments that work as standalone reels.

Software fluency

Software fluency

You'll work daily in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. We don't have a strong preference between the two, but we're standardizing so future collaborators can pick up work without relearning a pipeline.
